Instead you play Mediocre singers who have no real ability to compete in the extremely competitive environment of today. Today we only have Ciara, Chris Brown, Ne-yo, Usher, and a few others holding up the tradition of great song and dance,but most of our BEST performers don’t get any air time. Michael would NEVER have become a superstar only standing and singing. From this era we got the temptations, four tops, smokey and miracles, michael jackson, and most of the girl groups danced also.
Thus the era of combining GREAT dancing and GREAT singing. In the 1960’s Black entertainers recognized they could compete with White entertainers if they were BETTER than the competition.
